Veronica Wallis has enjoyed printmaking at a variety of levels since gaining a degree and then a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art. With experience in teaching as well as participation in many group and solo exhibitions including the Royal Ulster Academy, Veronica loves to encompass fun and frivolity as well as sentiment.
"I particularly relish the richness of oil colour on paper and the free expressive marks that the monoprint affords the artist. The most recent work has engaged with objects, shoes, handbags, jugs and teapots - for when a person is no longer with us, the ubiquitous object which formed part of domestic life, takes on an enhanced charisma."
